Another true Averys favourite, this domaine has now been discovered by France's Guide Hachette and Decanter. Capably run by Jean-Francois Gonon, the calcareous soils of Vergisson give this Chardonnay real power and a fine, nervous acidity. Though still regarded as an excellent source for negociants, Jean-Francois has been bottling his own impeccable wine for over ten years now. This vintage shows real concentration and power with lovely taut acidity. Mirroring his excellent 2005, there is a richness of fruit, mineral purity and fine length. Drink From 2008-2010.
