Description
Winemakers Jean-Luc Terrier and Christian Collovray of Domaine des Deux Roches are amongst the most elite producers of the Maconnais region. The Domaine is situated in the small village of Davaye, with 36 hectares of vineyards stretching up to the cliffs of Solutre and Vergisson. The Terres Noirs cuvee is vinified in stainless steel and then a proportion is aged in Vosges and Alliers oak. Lifted mineral nose. Really elegant palate with balanced acidity and a good structure from 30% oak ageing. Flavours of ripe pears and peach with a refreshing crisp acidity. Delicious long finish.
