Description
Not swayed by winemaking fads, the modest Christian Gouges loves being left to create wines as nature intended: 'it wasn't me, it was the sun. Keeping soil healthy is no mystery, and work throughout 2005 was simply a pleasure'. His dense, masculine 1er Cru has a perfect fruit-acid balance and powerful, noble tannins. There are jammy, sweet blackcurrant flavours on the nose and a mineral acidity. Great poise, real length and rounded tannins.
