From very low yielding vines grown on very steep slopes which can only be tended by hand, this is an impressively rich Riesling with tingling 'marmelade' acidity. Founded in 1890, Gunderloch is the Rheinhessen's most renowned estate. Fritz Hasselbach is the estate's larger than life winemaker. You will always hear him coming before you see him as his preferred mode of transport around all but the steepest vineyards is his 1200cc Harley Davidson.
