Tempranillo is Spain's noblest variety and while it forms the backbone of Rioja, it is grown throughout Spain. The wine comes from a small area south of Madrid, on the plains of La Mancha. The fabulous weather and more consistent terrain make this an area to watch. Pagos de Noblejas is crafted by Bienvenido Munoz, a third generation winemaker from an influential family. His father is President of the La Mancha Producers and their reputation is second to none.
