Bodegas Vega Real Crianza 2004 Ribera del Duero

Bodegas and Vineyards Vega Real is a company which was established in 1997 and currently belongs to the family owned Barbadillo company, winemakers since 1821, in Sanlucar de Barrameda. The Bodega is located in the Castrillo de Duero municipal district, in the province of Valladolid. This spot, located in the valley of the Duero river, has a extension of 5 hectares, and the bodega, with an area of 1300 m2, is situated right in the centre, surrounded by vineyards of the varieties Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. With a capacity of 300.000 kgs, it is equipped with latest technologies for the production of quality wines.The grapes are bought from vineyards within a 20 kilometer radius, which belong to the denomination of origin Ribera del Duero. The control of these vineyards by the bodega is absolute, from flowering to reception of the grapes in the winery. Tempranillo 85% Cabernet Sauvignon 10% Merlot 5% For the ageing they use American and European oak barrels (225 liter), differently toasted for each type of wine.
