When Herbert Bouzereau of Meursault married Marie-France Gruere from Chassagne-Montrachet, the future of their wonderful wines was assured. Their daughters too recently won the region's Young Talent Trophy. Quite a family! Les Charmes has fennel, dried almonds and hot bread crusts on the nose. Barrel-aged for 12 months, this classic Meursault has weight and richness. Reassuringly old-fashioned, it has a wonderful mouth-feel and is full and generous. With a leesy potential that will improve in bottle, there is sweetness and intensity on the finish.
