Terrazas de los Andes Reserva Malbec Mendoza 2006 Argentina

'Top ranked Malbec in Argentina' 10 years in a row Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines 2005 Fabulous wine - a great example of this now widely-acclaimed red wine style. Terrazas winery grows it's grapes at the ideal altitude for each varietal, this Malbec is grown at 1067m above sea level. It is aged in barrels for 12 months 80% French 20% American. The result is an extremely fruity wine with aromas of black cherries, prunes and raisins combined with vanilla, caramel and toasted notes with hints of traditional violets. The palate is powerful with great body, structure and volume and a silky texture. "Malbec is Argentina's calling card.
