Unlike most German Rieslings, the quintessential Alsace style is dry. Julien Schaal is a young winemaker from the alsace region who also makes wine in Hermanus South Africa. In Alsace he makes wine from four of his childhood friends vineyards having a hand in how they run the vineyards and selecting the grapes from the best terroirs. This Riesling is both wonderfully scented and richly textured.
