Description
Very fine and classical. Weingut Joseph Leitz is headquatered in a restored 17th century forge high above the Rhine. Fermentation is always left to the natural processes of 'wild yeasts' and in a technique borrowed from friends in Meursault, the wines are left on their fine lees until the Spring following the harvest. A Fossilised dinosaur's footprint was said to give the name to this south facing Drachenstein (Dragonstone) vineyary over looking the Rhine. Quartzite rock gives the wine a crisp minerality, poise and elegance. The lemon, lime and peach fruit perfectly partners Asian and spicy quisine, seafood and salads. Or simply enjoy as an aperitif.
