Description
A member of the vigneron independant organisation, this domaine is located in Montagny les Buxy. This typical Burgundian village is encircled by an amphitheatre of vines, parcels of which Jean-Pierre Berthenet's family has cultivated for almost 400 years. This wine was 20% aged in French oak for 11 months. It has a lovely, quite complex oatmeal Chardonnay nose and a full and rounded early palate. There is plenty of fruit concentration, with a layered middle and fresh acidity on the lengthy finish. This is a well-balanced wine that just gets better in the glass! Drink 2008-2011
