The Cool climate Adedlaide Hills have become renowned for its fine Pinot Noirs. The feral foxes that inhabit this area have developed a taste for grapes as a replacement for their old favourite, rabbit, whose numbers have dimished greatly in recent years. Chester Osbourne is not worried though as "the bushy tailed critters act as crop thinners, which enhances the quality of the grapes they find to high to reach. An additional consequence is the laxative effect on the foxes producing natural organic fertilisation of the soil"! Bright red in colour the nose shows strawberry, plum and spices. The taste is immediately silky and grows into a lush, richly textured palate with delicious integrated tannins.
