Discovered by John Avery whilst judging at the 2007 Veritas awards in South Africa. Ross Gower is an old friend whom we knew previously when he was making wine at Klein Constantia. Now he is making his own Sauvignon Blanc with the same purity of fruit style. The Gower family winery's position in the south-eastern corner of the Kogelberg Biosphere is ideally suited to their vision of eco-responsible wine production co-existing with the Cape's unique indigenous flora and fauna. The energy-efficient winery is built of rammed earth to impact minimally on its surroundings.
