Now owned by Jean-Michel Cazes, of Bordeaux Chateau Lynch-Bages fame, this domaine has produced an explosively concentrated, rich Chateauneuf. The Syrah and Mourvedre are aged for 14 months a la bordelaise in small oak barriques, whilst the Grenache is aged in more traditional large foudres. The nose shows ripe, heady plums and soft spice. The front palate is silky, with spicy Mourvedre and toasty flavours apparent on a very long finish. Drink 2011 to 2020.
