Description
This classic Chilean Cabernet is deep purple in colour with classic cabernet black fruit on the nose. The palate is well-structured, with ripe raspberry and blackberry fruits and an attractive minty edge. This has very good concentration and tannins and although delicious now will drink happily until the end of 2010. I contrast, the summer white Block 77 is pale gold in colour with peaches and cream on the nose. The palate offers zesty lemon, ripe melon and a refreshing finish. With well integrated soft toasty characters from a small proportion of oak ageing, this wine is delicious served with monkfish or salmon.
