Nicolas Potel's wines never fail to impress and after a rigorous tasting process we selected him to blend our own Averys Fine Red and White Burgundy.
Following 2005, 2006 is a vintage that has been rather underrated by many but I think there are some charming wines to be had. The whites in particular are consistently good, with tremendous elegance and finesse. The reds are not as concentrated as 2005 but that in itself is quite appealing as they have a delicacy and finesse that will appeal to the traditional Burgundy lovers and will be drinkable sooner. Our Averys Burgundies are good examples of the 2006 vintage and offer great value that is hard to come by in this classic region. |
