Vincent Grall is a true artisan winemaker. He has just three hectares of vineyards, all within the Loire’s famous Sancerre region. He only harvests by hand, then the wine is made in a space around the size of your garage. In fact, it probably was his garage once upon a time!As you can imagine, all of this means production is very limited. We take all of the UK allocation and it always sells out. Factor in the extremely low-yielding 2013 vintage and you won’t be surprised to know that if you want a case of his new vintage release, you’ll need to get in quick.Tasting note: Made predominantly from grapes grown on flint soils, the Cuvée Tradition has the unmistakeable Sancerre stony minerality. Precise, focused and pure, it also has pristine citrus fruits with a beautiful grapefruit tang. Extremely wellbalanced and elegant, it would be beautiful paired with anasparagus and goats cheese salad or a pint of fresh prawns!
