Sam and the cellars staff

Averys have had a retail presence in Bristol since 1793. Today you will find us at 9 Culver Street in the heart of the city, a stone's throw from our original premises on Park Street.

Open 6 days a week, our historic cellars, with ample parking for customers, is blessed with magnificent vaulted ceilings that once housed our bottling line and blending tanks. We offer a comprehensive range of wines including many fine and rare vintages. The most coveted bottles are kept under lock and key in what we affectionately refer to as "The Cage".

Do come and see us. Our knowledgeable staff would be happy to show you around and offer advice for all your drinking needs.

All our current offers are available through the cellars. Not only will you save a delivery charge but you can also taste most wines before you buy!

Hire the cellars

By prior arrangement host your own private tasting event in our historic vaulted cellars. Great for parties, team events and corporate nights out.

Our friendly and knowledgeable team are on hand to lecture on your chosen wine, grape variety and/or region.

Cellar Door Wine Course

This course is an informative and fun introduction to the world of wine. Over the four weeks we will show you how to approach wines, how the different grapes taste and how different parts of the world's wine regions affect them.  Call us now on 01179 214 146 to reserve your place.

Averys Wedding Services

At wedding receptions, good wine is as important as good food.

Do talk to us about helping you select perfect wines for the Big Day including all-important Champagnes or sparkling wines.

Averys Cellars Monthly Tastings

 


September 7th - The Rhone Valley & South of France - £25 per head

While focussing on the Rhone we will also journey further a field to the Sunny South of France. Reds, Whites and Roses will be represented as well as some of the most highly regarded regions of the area.

October 6th - Italy - £25 per head

A great chance to try many of the indigenous varieties that Italy has made world famous. A selection as rich and diverse as the countries history will be on show including some of Tuscany's finest.

November 10th - Cellar Hightlights - £25 per head

In the lead up to the Festive Season we will be tasting a wide range of wines that have impressed us during the year and that we would heartily recommend you deck your tables with in the coming month.

Refunds on tickets can not be given less than two weeks before an event although where possible we will try to move the tickets to another evening.
