Château de Beaucastel is one of the most prestigious estates of Châteauneuf du Pape. It is best known for its red wines, but don’t overlook its magnificently rich white. Wine Advocate certainly didn’t, awarding this wine a resounding 94 points. The history of the property goes back to Pierre de Beaucastel’s purchase of land in 1549, after which the château was built. Today this organic estate is run by the respected Perrin family. Though just seven of Beaucastel’s 130 hectares are devoted to white varietals, such is the quality of the property’s terroir that its Châteauneuf Blancs match the exceptional calibre of its reds. Delivering a cascade of floral, papaya, almond and honey flavours, it’s heavenly with sauced white meats or scallops.

"Waves of honeyed pineapple and tangerine sorbet flood the senses. This is really lush" Joe Czerwinski
