This smooth Chilean red is made exclusively for us by Cremaschi Furlotti, a boutique family-owned estate in Chile’s Maule Valley. Today, 4th generation Pablo Cremaschi Furlotti combines Chile's pure natural fruit with his Italian heritage and a long winemaking tradition. We were impressed by the exceptional quality of his wines. Casa Elena is a lovely Bordeaux style, yet with additional ripeness – summed up that means smooth berry fruits with elegance. It’s made predominantly from Carmenère, which was once found flourishing in the vineyards of Bordeaux, but is now Chile’s signature grape. In this velvety red it delivers characteristic ripe plum with a peppery edge. Delicious with herby lamb dishes or roasted Mediterranean vegetables.
