Fleurie is one of the most famous crus in Beaujolais and Christian Bernard’s fabulous example from Domaine de Grands Fers is always one of the best. Christian’s great-grandfather bought the vineyards in Fleurie in 1890, situated on the famous terroirs of La Madone, Les Garands and Les Moriers. The grapes are all hand-picked and each plot is fermented separately before being aged in large oak foudres and Burgundy barrels.
Christian’s family have owned Domaine des Grands Fers since the turn of the last century and some of the vines for this cuvée are an incredible 110 years old
Fleurie is the epitome of cru Beaujolais with its seductive fresh berry fruits, floral notes and silky texture
Only the best are selected for this cuvée, his signature bottling, with its classic floral aromas and seductive red berry fruits
Tasting note:A beautiful expression of the Gamay grape with notes of red berry fruits and spices, and a silky-smooth mouthfeel. Enjoy with charcuterie or steak and frites.
