With parcels of 2015 now thin on the ground, it’s worth stocking up with this
wonderful selection from one of Bordeaux’s greatest ever vintages.
First up is the new release of Averys Fine Haut-Médoc with smooth
cassis layered with cedar, liquorice and mint, it’s already drinking superbly. Merlot-rich
Château Haut Queray Cuvée Margot is from a family vineyard just north of Saint Émilion.
You also have Château Bournac, a gold medal-winning Cru Bourgeois
Medoc and the pièce de résistance, Château Trigant (normally £28), an extremely
elegant claret from an 18th century estate in Pessac-Léognan.
