Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate described a previous vintage of this beautiful Viognier from Stéphane Ogier “A dead ringer for fine Condrieu” and there’s good reason why. Not only is Ogier in the “top handful of domaines in the Rhône Valley” but the grapes come from a vineyard on the border with Côte Rôtie, just north of Condrieu. The high altitude of the vineyards gives lovely freshness to the plump, peachy fruit of Viognier. A real stunner.
