An outstanding Pouilly-Fuissé from a seventh-generation Domaine run by father and daughter team Christophe and Sandrine.The Thibert family only use grapes that they’ve grown and nurtured themselves, which includes some parcels 85+ year-old vines, all hand-harvested to ensure maximum qualityPouilly-Fuissé is internationally recognised for making the finest white wines in the Maconnais – and the Thibert’s vineyards occupy just 8 hectares. Wine is produced in tiny quantities, making this Pouilly-Fuisse a rare treatBefore release, this wine has spent a year in stainless steel to preserve purity of fruit, and then aged for up to 11 months in oak to add richness, body and flavour complexity. The nose is dominated by white fruit aromas, with a pleasant woody undertone. Full-bodied and ripe on the palate, with fleshy peach and buttery notes. Fresh, pure and easy-drinking when young, but will age beautifully for anything up to 10 years.
