Domaine Thibert Père et Fils Mâcon-Verzé 2016

Mâcon-Villages AOP

Burgundy's Mâcon always provides some of the best value in the region. That's particularly true of the wines from this 7th generation family estate. From a small, high quality vintage, this mature white shows creamy apple fruit and minerality.

With seven generations of experience, the Thibert family are well versed in making truly excellent Burgundy. The domaine is currently run by brother and sister Christophe and Sandrine. This lovely rounded Mâcon uses fruit from their Verzé vineyards – all organic and with minimal intervention in the winery. Their aim is to show purity of fruit and the terroir in their wines. With only 10% aged in barrel to add creaminess, this is a lighter, fresher style with a hint of nuttiness and good minerality. With four years' age, the wine has rounded out. An ideal white for pairing with delicate white fish or lighter meats. Serve in large bowled glasses so you can gently swirl and enjoy the flavours.
