By acquiring Château Les Gravettes in 2000, Monsieur and Madame Pointet came back to their family roots in the Bordeaux region. The estate was originally called Le Moulin du Pas de Rabaine and dates to 1848 during the reign of Louis-Philippe. Château les Gravettes is built in the commune of Berson, one of the most famous area in Blaye - Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, located on the right bank of the Gironde river.
Work in the vineyard is largely inspired by methods used at the great growths: leaf thinning twice a year, green harvesting and minimal spraying
The blend comprises of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc of which, the vines average 20 years of age
The area takes advantages of the unique climate and weather: good sunshine and optimal humidity thanks to the estuary
Tasting note:Attractive crimson colour. The nose reveals scents of ripe fruits and subtle oak notes. The palate is supple with silky tannins, delicious plum and damson fruit and great intensity.
