Dominique is the 14th generation and, with no family of his own, he joined up with a long-standing friend from the appellation, Julian Revillon. White Beaujolais is a rarity (less than 2% of Beaujolais is white) but the best granite terroir produces Chardonnay of great finesse that can easily rival wines from neighbouring Burgundy ”Dominique Piron has been working since the 70’s to express the diversity of Beaujolais’ terroirs.” Wine Spectator The Chardonnay vines have an average age of 20 years old . This white Beaujolais has characteristic floral notes with pear and apricot, classic Chardonnay aromas. This wine is well balanced, rounded with good length thanks to its fresh acidity. Ideal as an aperitif, it’s also delicious with monkfish, roast chicken or salmon terrinesand a great talking point at your next dinner party.
