The Wine
This is an exciting 'hidden' parcel of wine from a top Pomerol estate and a trail-blazing team, whose wine has been awarded the perfect 100-point score by Robert Parker. You don't normally see any of their wines for this humble price, which makes this complex, mellow fruit 2016 a bit of a steal. The only proviso for its great price is that we can't reveal its source. We'll have to leave you guessing. Still a bit of a treat to have a claret of this standing, now with over six years' age. Cuvée Cachée is made from pure Merlot taken from premium satellite plots all situated on Bordeaux's Right Bank. Expertly crafted and aged in oak, the Merlot shines here with cherry and cassis fruit and a touch of spice. A treat for the Sunday roast.
