Nestled in the heart of Médoc, Château Bellerive’s vineyards are less than 15 miles from Saint-Estèphe. They are classified as Cru Bourgeois, the tier below the pricey Cru Classés but superior quality nonetheless (and great value if you know where to look!). This is especially true of the 2015 vintage which has garnered praise from critics. James Suckling wrote, "2015 is indeed a fantastic year, producing rich and opulent reds with ripe and velvety tannins", while Decanter recommended Cru Bourgeois saying there were “plenty of good options in this vintage”. Now with seven years' maturity, this fine Médoc is beautifully complex with layers of ripe cassis, earthy notes and mocha oak spice. Delicious paired with steak, game or a cheeseboard.
