That orange glow is simply unmistakeable - nothing says summer sunshine in a glass like the vibrant flavour of an Aperol Spritz. Originating in Italy in 1919, this classic Italian apéritif is having quite a moment right now, and we can see why!
Tasting notes
Intense bitter and sweet orange
Aroma
Bitter and sweet orange, mix of herbs and roots
Aperol's light, refreshing bitter sweet taste has been starting conversations since 1919. Lightly alcoholic, Aperol is a crowd pleasing infusion of bitter and sweet orange, with a mix of herbs and roots. It makes the perfect aperitif for the sociable Italian 'aperitivo' lifestyle, whether that's pre-dinner conversation or an evening with friends and family. Of couse you can enjoy Aperol however you choose, but we think it's best enjoyed in its signature format: the Aperol Spritz. This is a traditional Italian Aperitivo and the perfect drink to start the evening. Start by adding ice into a large glass then pour in equal parts of freshly popped Prosecco and the Aperol. To finish add a splash of soda and top with a slice of orange. Saluti!
