Atlântico is made by Herdade de Sao Miguel, a hugely impressive cellar in the heart of Portugal’s Alentejo region. The mountainous region where Atlântico is produced is the coolest part of the Alentejo region, formerly planted almost exclusively with white wine grapes. This climate allows for the production of perfectly balanced, fresh red wines produced from traditional red grape varietals.
Atlântico 2017 is a blend of traditional Portuguese varieties including Aragonez (the Portuguese name for Tempranillo), Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet
Atlântico has become a firm favourite red – from staff to customers and critics – no-one can resist its fruity, easy-drinking charm
With a full body and juicy fruit, this easy-drinking red is the perfect partner for hearty pasta dishes or aged cheeses
Tasting note:Expect an abundance of juicy blackberry and bramble fruits underpinned by a touch of spice from oak ageing. Vibrant and fresh with a savoury twist on the finish, it’s delicious with sausages, pasta and cheeses.
