The city of Bristol has been associated with the wines of Spain since medieval times when casks were shipped direct into the old docks in the heart of the city. Sherry has formed a key part of Bristol’s trade and Averys has been shipping quality Sherry from Spain for nearly 200 years.Amontillado sherry is aged first under flor (as a fino sherry) but is then given further oxidative ageing.
