If you’re not yet a convert to the wonderful array of flavours of top quality sherry, here’s a great place to start. This is a rich, yet whistle clean fresh fino from the renowned Barbadillo family. Founded in 1821, Barbadillo has world renown. In 2015 it was named ‘Best Winery of the Year’ by Guía Peñín and its Manzanilla Solear was awarded ‘Best Manzanilla in the World’. Seventh generation, the company is still one of the most innovative in the wine world and boasts 500 hectares of Jerez vines and remarkable stocks of Palo Cortado for blending. Fino is the driest style, aged under flor (the special yeast covering that naturally occurs on the surface) for three years and blended traditionally using the solera system. Bone dry, yet complex.
