The Averys 'own label' is like a badge of honour – only applied to wines we think are of exceptional quality. We’ve worked with Eric and David Martin of Domaine Martin to bring you this Averys exclusive. Their vineyards are located between Châteauneuf du Pape and Gigondas and they use traditional techniques to craft their fine reds. This is a rich Rhône red from “a vintage of excellent quality but very low quantity” (Decanter Magazine). Grenache dominated, the wine was aged in seasoned oak casks to add layers of complexity to its concentrated black fruit, pepper and spice. Ripe and velvety, with hints of herbs and spice, this is top match with Moroccan lamb, sausage and butter bean cassoulet or at a barbecue. Great on its own, too.

"Averys own label indicates top quality within the appellation and this fine Rhône bears that out" Jehan Sacaze
