One of Averys best-selling and best-value wines, we are amazed with the quality of this wine year after year.
Dario Bove’s succulent, rich reds are among the best in the region and his flagship wine, Indio, is a perennial favourite with Italy’s wine bible, ‘Gambero Rosso’. He was our first choice for making Averys’ exclusive Montepulciano d’Abruzzo and we were delighted when he agreed
What we wanted was a wine that offered amazing value, real drinkability and also a true sense of place. Dario stepped up to the challenge and created a wine that delivers each of those qualities in spades
This is the fifth vintage and it continues to delight its many followers, while winning over new ones, year after year
Tasting note: A deep colour with lots of spicy dark berries on the nose. Smooth with rich, vibrant brambly fruit on the palate and a soft, plush texture. Being medium-bodied in style makes it extremely versatile when it comes to food matching; warm and spicy enough to stand up to barbecued food but also light enough to have on its own or with a plate of cold meats.
