Maule is part of Chile’s Central Valley and is one of the country’s oldest and most traditional wine regions. It’s also one of Chile’s largest wine regions and produces a wide variety of different styles. Like most of Chile’s vineyards, Maule benefits from an almost perfect vine-growing climate with warm, dry days and cool nights.
Balduzzi Reserva Sauvignon Blanc is made from hand-picked, estate-grown fruit
A small portion (25%) spends just one month in oak to give extra richness to the classic citrus and tropical fruit flavours
Jorge Balduzzi is the third generation to farm vineyards in Maule Valley but his family winemaking history stretches back to the 1700s when his family were growing vines in Italy
Tasting note:A very pretty Sauvignon Blanc nose with aromatics of white flowers and a touch of peach. Crisp and focused on the palate with juicy tropical fruit and just a hint of vanilla. Very long with an invigorating freshness, it would be delicious with fish dishes.
