This is a fabulously sweet, velvety release from Barbadillo – a delicious indulgence. The bodega was founded in 1821 by Benigno Barbadillo and his cousin, Manuel López Barbadillo, who moved from Mexico to Sanlucar in Jerez and began to make sherry. Their first release was a Manzanilla. Since then, the bodega has won many top awards. In 2015 it was named ‘Best Winery of the Year’ by Guía Peñín and its Solear Manzanilla was awarded ‘Best Manzanilla in the World’. 7th generation, the company is still one of the most innovative in the wine world and boasts 250 hectares of Jerez vines. This is their most concentrated, rich and velvety release – a half bottle of gorgeous PX to sip alongside chocolate pud or solo. Lush poured over vanilla ice cream.
