Syrah and Grenache are the two leading red grapes of the Rhône and Southern France. Here, the blackcurrant intensity of Syrah works brilliantly with the peppery, strawberry fruit of Grenache. Made in an unoaked, fruit forward style, this 50:50 blend of Syrah and Grenache is very easy drinking and enjoyable with or without food, it's sure to appeal to lovers of southern Rhône reds, as well as those of the Languedoc. Even better, it's top value. Juicy and smooth with a violet bouquet and light peppery notes of Syrah alongside ripe raspberry Grenache aromas. Great for quaffing on its own, it's an excellent wine for everyday suppers - from shepherd's pie, meaty or not, a sausage and bean casserole, toad in the hole or grilled lamb.

"All that forward, ripe fruit makes this a charming authentic southern French red, enjoyable any time" Mark Hoddy
