Chateau Machorre is located on the highest hills of the Cotes de Bordeaux Saint Macaire, overlooking the Garonne valley.
The estate stretches to 22 hectares planted to 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, followed by a further year in bottle. This stylish Bordeaux is drinking superbly.
Aromatics of ripe berry and black berry fruits are complemented by hints of warming spices. The 2014 is a very soft, supple and approachable vintage, delivering luscious plum and mellow spice flavours and finishing with velvety tannins. Decant an hour or so in advance to enjoy at its best.
