Although humidity caused problems in the spring of 2018 (it produced perfect conditions for mildew) vignerons who were vigilant and quick to react were rewarded with fabulous quality and really ripe fruit come vintage. Bordeaux expert Gavin Quinney wrote "2018 is an excellent vintage for red Bordeaux, with powerful, rich and opulent wines across most appellations." You'll taste that in this lush, Merlot rich Bordeaux, all fruit with no oak, from a small property in the Entre Deux Mers. Ideally pour into a jug or decanter an hour before serving and enjoy with roast red meats. Garlic roasted lamb or even chicken would be ideal. Or enjoy more simply with sausage and mash!

"An exceptional year for Bordeaux wines. Beautiful depth of ripe fruit and polished, strong tannins" James Suckling
