Terre di Chieti wines come from the Chieti province of Abruzzo in central Italy. A wide range of grapes are grown in the region, predominantly Sangiovese and Montepluciano in the reds and Pecorino and Chardonnay in the whites. The climate is heavily influenced by the Apennine mountain range and the Adriatic Ocean which keep the whites zippy and fresh.
