Bassist in top Britpop band Blur, Alex James had a passion for food and wanted to make a difference. He moved to a farmhouse in the Cotswolds and began to make artisan cheeses. Then, delicious local brews, like Britpop cider. For centuries, Alex explained, France has been showcasing what they can do with grapes. Britain’s speciality is apples though, with hundreds of traditional varieties to explore. He teamed up with Westons Cider and using local, ethically sourced fruit from England's 'cider belt' – Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire – he's crafted this refreshing, characterful tipple. It had its first outing in 2021 at the annual Big Feastival hosted at Alex's farm. It was the hottest seller of the show. Chill and enjoy.
