Located on the Rhinns of the isle of Islay, Bruichladdich was founded in 1881. The distillery has changed hands many times over the past 130 years, but has been significantly reborn since 2000. Today it is firmly back at the forefront of Scottish whisky distilling. Distillation, maturation and bottling all happen, of course, on Islay, and they even use the original 1881 cast-iron mash tun! Classic Laddie is unique, in that it's made according to a philosophy, rather than a recipe. So each batch made is unique and slightly different. It’s made from 100% Scottish barley and matured in premium American oak casks and the final blend decided by the head distiller. Smooth, floral, malty, with apple notes and freshness. A delicious sip.
