Château Champ des Treilles represents a lifetime’s work of the Comme family. Jean-Michel’s grandparents planted their first vines in Bordeaux’s northeastern village of Sainte-Foy in the 1920s. Moving from Italy, they settled here, falling for the regions rolling hills and excellent climate for winemaking. A generation later, Jean-Michel remembers watching his parents and grandparents tend the vines as he played with his brother at the end of the rows. Bit by bit, he was allowed to help. Today he runs the family vineyard along with his wife Corinne, while their children, Thomas and Laure, play at the end of the rows. This is a classic claret with bright, fresh, red berry flavours, perfect with hard cheese and roasts - chicken, lamb or nut!

"This fresh claret is the perfect red for a Sunday roast or paired with hard cheeses" Jennie Perry
