Two bumbling Victorian detectives investigate the disappearances of several young women, which eventually leads them to the home of Dr. Watt and his sister Valeria. There, they discover some sinister secrets hidden in the doctor’s mansion…Carry On Screaming is a loving parody of Hammer horror movies. Join us at AVERYS to enjoy this British classic alongside a wine tasting inspired by some of the key characters in the film. Begin your evening with sparkling wine on arrival, before tasting four different wines during the screening.When young women start disappearing, it is up to Detective Constable Slobotham and Detective Sergeant Sidney Bung to crack the case. Their investigation leads them to the sinister Bide-A-Wee Rest Home, where they encounter Dr. Watts and his sister, Valeria. When they discover that the doctor and Valeria have been conducting sinister experiments on human life, the race is on to crack the case, and bring the culprits to justice.
This event is strictly for over 18s. Photographic ID may be required prior to entry. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anybody who is unable to produce appropriate ID. We regret that we are unable to offer refunds to guests refused entry for this reason. Doors for this event will open at 18:45. The film will commence with a short talk at approximately 19:00. The event will conclude at approximately 21:15. Averys wine cellar can be accessed either through the Averys shop (accessed via stairs), or through the side entrance on Frogmore Street. Averys cellar is suitable for disabled access, however we do ask any guests who have accessibility queries or concerns to contact us directly. We remind guests that there are some uneven areas of floor in the cellar. Guests will receive a glass of sparkling wine on arrival, followed by four wines during the film. Water will be available throughout the evening. This film is rated 15 (Contains strong language and moderate sex references) This film will be screened without subtitles.
