Just north of Toulouse, you’ll find the tiny appellation of Fronton, home to some of the oldest vines in France. Most of the wines made here are drunk within Toulouse itself, so we’re excited to share this one with you. Château Marguerite is made entirely from Négrette, a native variety unique to the Fronton region The French call Toulouse "La Ville rose" because of the colour of the bricks used in its buildings, but it can also be said to be from the excellent Rosé Négrette they drink Fronton is an ancient wine producing region with the first vines planted by the Romans on the land overlooking the valley of Tarn . Bone dry, crisp and subtle with pretty red fruits, a hint of violets and delicate savoury spice, it’s a fantastic alternative to Provence pinks. Delicious on its own and great with any kind of seafood..
