Château Saint-Paulin is made by the Auduteau family who also own Château Caruel in the Côtes de Bourg. The family began making wines on the property in 1730 and today it is 6th generation Jacqueline Auduteau and her son, Thierry who manage the estate
The family harvest the grapes at optimum maturity to ensure ripeness of fruit and rich aromatics
The wine is unoaked to allow this forward, ripe fruit to shine
Enjoy with lamb skewers or fillet of beef, this wine would also be iideal with a good selection of cheeses, such as Cantal, Mimolette or Brie
Tasting note:Made predominantly from plush, fruity Merlot (70%), this has an abundance of ripe plum fruits and a soft, velvety texture. A touch of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc adds an aromatic finesse and rich complexity.
