Chakana was founded in just 2002 but it hasn’t wasted any time in building a reputation as one of the leading producers in Argentina. Tim Atkin MW described it as ‘a winery to watch’ and with Alberto Antonini on board (voted one of the top 5 winemakers in the world by Decanter), the wines have soared to success. Chakana has received rave reviews for its Nuna Estate Malbec. Indeed, the 2015 vintage was awarded 95 points by Decanter and the 2016 scored 92 points from Tim Atkin MWAged in barrel for just eight months, it’s a deliciously elegant MalbecChakana’s Estate Malbec comes from its Nuna vineyards in Agrelo which have been certified organic since 2014 and biodynamic since 2016. “A ripe, flashy style, delivering full-bodied layers of crushed plum and macerated raspberry and boysenberry fruit, framed by lots of anise, fruitcake and a lingering espresso note.
