Dating back to 1760 and Champagne's fifth oldest house, Delamotte's Chardonnay-focused style is one of the most elegant and refined. Hidden away in the heart of Le-Mesnil-sur-Oger in the renowned Côte de Blancs, it is run today by Didier Depond, alongside the renowned house of Salon. Pure Chardonnay from six Grand Cru areas (Le Mesnil, Avize, Oger, Cramant, Chouilly and Oiry), the 2014 vintage had ideal ripening conditions for the grapes resulting in great ripeness balanced by fine acidity. Aged on lees for 6 years adding layers of rich brioche, this wine will develop for a further decade or so. Or enjoy now! Chill down, pour a glass and savour its citrus, floral and pastry aromas as an aperitif, or pair with chicken in a cream sauce.
