Château Tour de Laroze offers classic Margaux charm with its delicate, expressive and elegant fruit. What's more, without there being any rush to enjoy it, it is now at its drinking peak. That's often the case with so-called lesser vintages – a few years in they make very charming drinking. And are often remarkably good value too. The property is run by the same team as Château Labégorce, whose vineyards sit in prime position, right next door to Château Margaux. Hubert Perrodo took ownership in 1989 and today his daughter Nathalie runs the estate. The 2012 vintage is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in part new oak. With a lovely fragrant nose and silk like texture, this is textbook Margaux. Perfect now with lamb or game.
